| The purpose of the St. Alphonsus Home and School Association is to promote communication, good will and cooperation among parents, faculty, administration, school board and the parish of St. Alphonsus. It also provides leadership and coordination of activities for the purpose of service, special functions, educational programs, and/or fund-raising. Each family is a member of SAS Home and School. |

Meetings
The Home and School Association will have three parent meetings throughout the school year.
Our next meeting will be April 22, 2010 at 7:00 in the Family Center. After a brief Home and School meeting, families are invited to participate in some fun Science experiments and activities. |

What SAS Home and School is doing
|
- The last Wednesday of each month the Home and School Association will help celebrate the faculty and staff birthdays of that month. A cake will be placed in t he teachers’ lounge for all faculty and staff to enjoy.
- Permanent signs have been installed next to each classroom and other common points around campus.
- Provide treats to the school children periodically

Home and School Raffle!!
On the last Friday of each month we will have a drawing for a special prize. We will be raffling off gift certificates and other items that the children and families can enjoy. The students will be able to purchase raffle tickets for .25 each or 5/$1.00. A sheet of raffle tickets will be sent home in your Thursday envelope the week before the drawing. Please fill out the number of tickets you would like to purchase and cut them apart. Place the tickets and the money (check or send exact change only) in an envelope and send it to school with your child by the Friday of the drawing. Watch your Kaleidoscope Connections for announcements as to what the prize will be each month.
This month’s drawing will be held on April 30th . This month’s raffle will be a SAS Fair basket filled with 2 ride passports ($100 value), 6 pack of coke, cotton candy, bag of peanuts, bag of kettle corn, and a giant lollipop. |
