St. Alphonsus School is a member of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and is approved and accredited by the state of Louisiana. The school adheres to all the policies outlined by the Diocese of Baton Rouge and follows all state standards for Prek-8th grade. As part of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, St. Alphonsus Catholic School embraces the vision of evangelizing hearts, educating minds, and embracing the future.  The mission of St. Alphonsus School is to provide a faith-filled education which promotes academic excellence for each student.  A faith-filled education is one in which the faculty and staff nourish a faith life that is rooted in Catholic doctrine.  Students are challenged to do their academic best.  For the advanced students, teachers have been provided a workshop as well as resources in order to provide more challenging educational experiences for those students.  Students in middle school are offered the opportunity to receive high school credit in Algebra I, Spanish I and Physical Science.  For those students with learning deficiencies, Reading Resource is offered as well as a Math Specialist.  Resources are also provided for teachers in order to help these students.  The development of the whole child is addressed:  spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, and culturally.
