Home and School

St. Alphonsus Home and School Association


The purpose of the St. Alphonsus Home and School Association is to foster communication, goodwill, and collaboration among parents, faculty, administration, the School Advisory Committee, and the parish community. We provide leadership and coordination for service projects, special events, educational programs, and fundraising efforts that directly benefit our students and school. Every St. Alphonsus family is a valued member of the Home and School Association.


As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, the Home and School Association is excited to partner with you to support our students and faculty. We can’t do it without your help! Our goal is to create a vibrant and successful school year by strengthening the bond between school, home, and church. Your involvement—whether big or small—makes a lasting impact on our school community.

Volunteer Information

The SAS Home and School Association is looking forward to serving you and your children this 2025-2026 school year. We cannot do this without your help! Our goal is to create a great year for all of our students and teachers while promoting a closer relationship between the school, home, and church. Your participation helps us to ensure a successful academic school year at all grade levels. As such, we are asking that you complete the signup below indicating where you may be able to volunteer by August 29th, 2025.

The Home and School board is busy coordinating various events this year and we cannot do this without your help! We are looking for some awesome volunteers to help chair some of our events. When signing up, please pay attention that you do not sign up to chair an event unless you want to. Home and School will assist with all events but in order to add some new events, we need help chairing various events throughout the year. You do not have to be on the Home and School Board or a Room Mom to chair any events. Do know that if you sign up to chair an event, you will be expected to attend the event.

Included in this sign up is a request for volunteers to assist as Room Mother. Room Mothers assist the teacher as needed throughout the school year, coordinate with other classroom parents, assist with Christmas and Easter crafts (Pre K-5th Grades), arrange auction items for the St. Alphonsus Church Auction, etc. In order to be a room mother, you must meet the mandatory child protection requirements as outlined by the Diocese as instructed by the office. Because spots are limited, signing up to volunteer does not guarantee a spot as Room Mom. Please do not let this hinder you from volunteering, however, as there are many opportunities to volunteer in the classroom.

There will be a mandatory Room Mom Meeting for those selected on Wednesday, September 17th.
