Tuition Assistance

Note: Information regarding deadlines for the 2026–2027 school year will be updated as it is released by individual programs.

There are multiple tuition assistance opportunities available to St. Alphonsus Catholic School families.  Applications may be submitted for more than one program from the options listed below.  For any questions or concerns about tuition assistance programs, please contact Bethany Richard.

LA GATOR 

Application for the LA GATOR Education Savings Account will open in late February and will close in mid-April.  Exact dates have not yet been announced.

ACE SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM

The ACE Scholarships Program for new and returning students opens for the 2026-2027 school year on Monday, February 2, 2026, and closes on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

ARETE SCHOLARS PROGRAM 

The Arete Scholarship applications will open on March 3, 2026 and will remain open until May 1, 2026.

ASPIRING SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The Aspiring Scholars application opens on Monday, February 2, 2026, and closes on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

DIOCESAN ASSISTANCE

There are several sources of funding available from the Diocese of Baton Rouge: BISHOP'S ANNUAL APPEAL, BLACK AND INDIAN MISSION FUND, and ROMERO FUND. Applications for these funds are made through FACTS.  Assistance is awarded on the basis of need.
