The Altar Server Program at St. Alphonsus Church offers students a meaningful opportunity to grow in their faith while actively participating in the celebration of the Mass. Altar servers assist the priest during liturgy and play an important role in helping our school and parish worship with reverence and respect.
Students who choose to serve are invited to deepen their understanding of the Mass, develop a sense of responsibility, and contribute to the life of the Church community. Serving at the altar is both an honor and a commitment, and students are expected to approach this ministry with attentiveness and respect.
To become an altar server, students must complete a registration form and attend a scheduled training session. During training, they will learn the roles and responsibilities of serving, as well as the procedures followed during Mass. Registration forms can be turned into the Church office.
We encourage all interested students to consider joining this special ministry and becoming more actively involved in our faith community. (You must be Catholic and a St. Alphonsus parishioner to be an altar server).
